Bruce Goit Passes

Ontario horseman Bruce Harold Roy Goit passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Toronto General Hospital in his 49th year.

Bruce was an owner/trainer of Standardbred horses for several years. His love was also farming.

Bruce might have been best known as the conditioner of millionaire pacing mare Waasmula, but some of his personal favourites included Artistry, Greystone Cash, Western Alumni, Lyonssomewhere, Amillionpennies and Lyons River Pride.

Predeceased by his parents Phyllis and Harold. Loving brother to Bonnie Goit (Grover Anderson). Survived by his uncles Arnold (Wilma) Goit and Murray (Lorraine) Goit. Predeceased by aunts Muriel (Bill) Bellingham, Margaret (Roy) Armstrong and Beatrice Bratt. Also survived by many cousins.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Binbrook Fair Grounds (under the grandstand), located at 2600 Regional Road #56, Binbrook, ON. Serenity Burial & Cremation Services Inc. has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The family would like to thank lifetime friends and fellow horsepeople that have supported Bruce through his illness.
