WOODBINE MOHAWK PARK
Woodbine Mohawk Park would like to inform all horsepeople of a new procedure to sign-up for training and schoolers.
Starting immediately, the sign-up links for all training and schoolers will be made available through www.Woodbine.com/Mohawk/Horsepeople/. The tab for ‘Training Sign-Up’ can be found on bottom right of the second row of red buttons The links for each training day or schooling session will be posted a minimum of a day before sign-up opens.
Training will now be offered on Wednesdays only, while schoolers will be offered on qualifying days (depending on number of qualifiers).
The sign-up for this Wednesday’s (July 21) training session will open Saturday (July 17) at 3 p.m.
REMINDER: Anyone entering the paddock must take part in the enhanced screening program for all training, and qualifying mornings and race nights. Trainers and caretakers may opt out of the enhanced screening program by bringing proof of having received their 1st vaccine. Drivers may opt out with proof they have received their 2nd vaccine.
All Paddock COVID-19 protocols will be in place for training hours, including the requirement to have all people wearing a mask. Only Trainers and essential licensed personnel will be permitted through the Security check point and all individuals are reminded to complete the COVID-19 Screening Form before arriving.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Officials with Dresden Raceway would like to advise horsepeople that the track is now open for training. Horsepeople stabled at the track have been training and working through the latest wave and the track is open for non-occupants to train as well. Strict COVID-19 protocols are in place at the track to adhere to government guidelines.

Thursdays and Fridays
All individuals are reminded to complete the COVID-19 Screening Form. Please note that all protocols must be followed and the paddock must be vacated by 1:00 p.m. on all training days.
GRAND RIVER RACEWAY
Tuesdays and Thursdays
8am to 12noon.
While there is no requirement to book sessions in advance, all licensed staff planning to attend with horses on these dates need to complete the COVID screening questionnaire on the Grand River Raceway website before arrival.
All paddock COVID-19 protocols will be in place during training hours, including the requirement to ensure all attendees wear a mask. Only trainers and essential licenced individuals will be permitted at the facility. COVID-19 protocols, can be found on our website under COVID Screening & Protocols.
12Pm – 5pm
Hanover Raceway is open for training and will be by appointment only, space is limited. Trainers can schedule their appointment by calling Hanover Raceway General Manager Steve Fitzsimmons at 519-901-4360 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
All individuals are reminded to complete the COVID-19 Screening Form. This will begin for the card of harness racing slated for Saturday, June 19. Horsepeople will still be required to undergo a temperature check for entry at the gate.
Everyone is to abide by Covid protocols, which include mandatory masks for all while on the premises, except during training and socially distancing from others. Only licensed personnel will be permitted on the grounds, which are the trainer and caretaker of the horse signed up to train.
8am – 12pm
Officials with Hiawatha Horse Park would like to advise horsepeople that the five-eighths mile oval will be closed for training on Wednesday (June 23).
The track is being resurfaced, prompting the temporary closure. Training will resume next Wednesday (June 30) between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Covid 19 screening will be in place at the track and social distancing will be enforced by staff. Horsepeople will be asked to use outside stalls only and trainers are reminded they must wear helmets and safety vests to gain access to the track.
8am – 10am
Horsepeople must reserve space by calling or texting Jim Huck at 705.927.3122.
A COVID-19 screening form must be completed by all individuals at the security gate. All COVID-19 protocols will be in effect, including mandatory mask wearing at all times. Only essential personnel, to include trainers and a caretaker per horse, will be allowed entry. No spectators will be permitted.
RIDEAU CARLETON RACEWAY
Monday – Saturday
Rideau Carleton Raceway is open for training Monday through Saturday. All paddock COVID-19 protocols will be in place during training hours, including the requirement to ensure all attendees wear a mask.
