Traceur Hanover Takes Mohawk Feature

In News by COSA

Benoit Baillargeon trainee Traceur Hanover marched uncovered into the final turn and advanced to a length-and-three-quarter victory in the $30,000 featured pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, March 9.

Favourite Physicallyinclined led to a :27.3 opening quarter with Isitfridayyet sitting second and Traceur Hanover third. Physicallyinclined continued on the lead facing no pressure into a :58.1 half, forcing driver Chris Christoforou’s hand to pull Traceur Hanover approaching three-quarters.

Past the third quarter in 1:26.4, Traceur Hanover slid to a half-length lead over Physicallyinclined and gradually widened that margin through the final-quarter sprint. He hit the wire in 1:53 while Physicallyinclined held second from Rock This Way rallying for third.

A seven-year-old stallion by Western Ideal, Traceur Hanover won his 28th race from 116 starts, earning $849,249. Richard Berthiaume owns the $10.00 winner.
