Take Command used the same tactical approach to capture his 2022 debut performance for Team Jones.
In rein to Tyler Jones, the son of Father Patrick-Ridge Speed marched to the top from Post 8 and cruised along on the front-end through panels of :28.3 :59.2 and 1:28.3. When called on to sprint, the colt complied by kicking out a :27.4 final frame which earned him the half-length decision over race favourite Grace in 1:56.2. Hershey Seelster took home the show dough.
Dustin Jones trains the sophomore for his Dustin Jones Stables Inc and partners Noblock Racing Stable, Martin Pupil and Michael Pupil. It was the second career victory for the winner of $$26,050.
