RUS Kicks Off In Hanover

In News by COSA

Lawnchair lane will be buzzing on Saturday night at Hanover Raceway for nine traditional races and one that pits five female riders against one another in the first RUS event of the 2019 season.

Lets Leavem (Sarah Town) along with All Out Henry (Marielle Enberg) celebrated wins in RUS events last season, while the other three combatants didn’t race in the series of races held across the province.

Lets Leavem was 2-for-2 in RUS assignments last season thanks to victories at Hanover Raceway and The Raceway at Western Fair District. All Out Henry was one of the busiest RUS performers of 2018 after facing the gate six times and assembling a 1-3-2 record.

Veteran trotter Massive Muscles (Pam Forgie) didn’t race in the event last season, but he’s quite familiar with RUS racing. The same can’t be said for Cantabernet (Karoline Nielsen) and Pasi Von Bentz (Maggie Jones), who will be making the RUS debuts.

The RUS race is scheduled to go as Race 7 on Saturday’s 10-race card at the Hanover half-miler.
