Mohawk To Host Year-Round Racing

June 13, 2017 – During Tuesday’s post position draw for the $1-million Pepsi North America Cup, Woodbine Entertainment Group CEO Jim Lawson announced that $10 million will be invested into Mohawk Racetrack over the next year to accommodate future year-round live racing at the Campbellville, Ont. facility.

Year-round harness racing will begin at Mohawk after the 2017-18 meet.

Lawson explained that the dining room will be refurbished and a whole new outdoor infrastructure will be put in place to winterize the facility.

Lawson also stated that Mohawk Racetrack will be rebranded as ‘Woodbine at Mohawk Park’ and that a master plan for the property is well underway.
