Last Call: Free Online Course

In News by COSA

Equine Guelph has issued a last call for registration to its short online course ‘Horse Care & Welfare,’ which is free.

Are you giving your horses the best care possible?

Based on the ‘National Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Equines,’ the two-week online course considers the care and management of horses in terms of the ‘Five Freedoms’ of animal welfare. All aspects of equine care are explored and discussed in an online community.

Equine Guelph has stated that the course is essential for all individuals caring for horses in the racing industry.

Never taken an online course before? No worries! This course takes a common sense, practical and flexible approach to training – no prior online learning experience required.

The course will get underway on Monday, September 16 and will run until Friday, September 27.

Free registration coupons still available (value $95). Those that are interested can register at thehorseportal.ca/racingpilot. Open to the first 100 AGCO licence holders to register.
