Kickin Cowgirl Goes Down The Road

In News by COSA

Kickin Cowgirl took full advantage of the rail post in Thursday’s $13,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 2 pace at Flamboro Downs, and it came as no surprise to the betting public who sent her off as the 3-2 choice in the seven-mare affair.

With Tyler Moore barking out orders from the bike, Kickin Cowgirl shot to the top and supplied fractions of :28.4, :59.2 and 1:27.3 before sprinting home in :28.2 to win by 1-3/4 lengths over Saulsbrook Jessie in 1:56. Custard Lite was third.

Richard Moreau trains the five-year-old daughter of Big Jim-Best Lady for owners Bob Frank, GAAR Racing Stables and Sylvain Descheneaux. The win was her ninth of the season and her 13th to date. She’s now banked over $150,000 to date.
