Frozen Hanover Flashy In Mohawk Park Finale

In News by COSA

With the Pepsi North America Cup coming up next month at Woodbine Mohawk Park, it’s time for a number of horses that are on the bubble to step up and make some noise.

Frozen Hanover is a horse who did just that in the Thursday evening finale at the Campbellville oval for driver Bob McClure and trainer Luc Blais.

The lightly-raced, three-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere-Fashion Ecstasy stepped to a career-best clocking of 1:52.3 in an $18,000 conditioned event after being treated to a perfect, pocket trip.

With race favourite – and fellow Pepsi North America Cup nominee – The Boss Said on the lead through fractions of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:25.2, McClure worked out a perfect trip in the deuce for Frozen Hanover who sprinted out of the garden spot in deep stretch and used a :27-second final frame to post the win over Stone Carver and Jabberwocky.

Determination of Montreal, QC owns the sophomore, who went 0-for-3 as a rookie and has since followed up with a 2-2-0 record from just four attempts this season. He was a $325,000 purchase 2020 Harrisburg Yearling Sale.
