Brave World Wires Them Up

In News by COSA

The betting public was all over Brave World in Monday’s $8,500 Preferred 3 for horse and gelding pacers at Grand River Raceway, and the Harry Poulton pupil didn’t disappoint.

In rein to Travis Henry, Brave World shot to the lead from Post 1 and never looked back. He laid down fractions of :27.3, :57.1 and 1:25.2 before kicking home in :29 to win by three-quarters of a length over St Lads Beat It in 1:54.2. Modern Rock took home third prize in the nine-horse affair.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite, the seven-year-old son of Royal Mattjesty-Fit N Bad won for the fourth time this season and for the 31st time in his career. The career winner of $365,640 is owned by Thestable Brave World Grp of Guelph, ON.
