In News by COSA

Odds-on favourite Adore Him cleared command past the quarter and strode to a 1:55.4 win in the $5,800 Preferred 4 Pace at Leamington Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Barbies Belle cleared command to the first turn while Adore Him—leaving from the outermost post in the field of five—raced wide through a :27 quarter before taking control. From there the seven-year-old Shadow Play gelding paced splits of :57 and 1:27.2 while widening to a two-and-three-quarter length victory over Barbies Belle. Grits N Gravy rode the pylons to finish third eight lengths farther back.

Owned by Robert Blake, Adore Him won his seventh race from 19 starts this season and his 32nd from 103 overall, earning $180,466. Marc St Louis drove the $3.90 winner for trainer Paul Taylor.
