Jamieson Nabs A Five Bagger

In News by COSA

Driver Jody Jamieson has been red-hot over the last month and his outstanding run continued Thursday with a five-win night at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Jamieson, who had eight drives on the 11-race program, started his evening strong by sweeping the Daily Double with two-year-old pacing filly Westbeach ($12.40) and two-year-old trotting colt Trix And Stones ($3.30).

The reinsman in Green-Yellow-White recorded the Hat-Trick in the seventh-race with five-year-old trotting mare Major Muscle ($8.60).

Jamieson finished the night the way he started by winning his final two drives with three-year-old pacers Dramatic Point ($9.80) and Westslucky Terror ($3.50).

The five-win night pushes Jamieson into sole possession of fifth in the Mohawk Park driver standings with 91 wins. The Moffat, Ontario resident has more wins than any other Woodbine driver over the last month, recording 32 wins since August 16.

Jamieson now has 170 driving wins this season, which is just two-less than his total of 172 for the entire 2017 season. He is scheduled to drive in six-races on Friday’s 13-race card.

Post time Friday at Woodbine Mohawk Park is 7:10 p.m.
